Tough Pack!
This has been the most versatile, long lasting pack I have owned. I originally purchased this early in 2009 and have beat the living hell out of it every weekend since. It is mainly classified as a winter pack for hitting up the back country snow, however I've found it works very well year round. The loop for the skis on the front panel holds an ice axe perfectly. The ski/snowboard carry straps on the main front panel hold snowshoes perfectly. I've found the side straps hold ski's best for an a-frame position.

I've outfitted this pack with a six liter MSR Dromedary hydration bladder. Also I have installed a custom trekking pole carry system on the pack as well. The side pockets work great for stowing car keys and a smaller point and shoot camera for easy access. The main panel holds an abundant amount of gear, the smaller avy tool panel works well for smaller items.

The nylons materials on this pack are near mil-spec quality, extremely abrasion resistant and the black nylon doesn't fade over time.

One thing Black Diamond could incorporate into a new design would be a breathable mesh back panel an shoulder straps. Other than that this pack has proven itself on countless summits and routes.
