Anybody use a Montbell Alpine Pack 50?

by ExcitableBoy » Thu Sep 16, 2010 11:03 pm

I'm looking at the Montbell Alpine Pack 50 (liters) to replace a Black Diamond Shadow pack for muliday technical alpine climbs. None of the stores in my area seem to carry it so I would have to mail order it. It looks like a clean, functional, and durable alpine pack. Can anyone comment on how it carries and climbs?

Thanks,

EB

Has no one ever used this pack? No personal experience with it?

Have you tried Pro Mountain Sports in Seattle? I bought a Montbell 40L from them a couple years ago that I really like for 1-2 day climbs. It is well built, narrow and carries well. Sorry, I don't know about the pack your asking.

Yes. I bought the Montbell Balance Light 40 L for my wife from Jim. The Alpine Pack 50 seems to be very different and Jim has not had any experience with it.
