Ayoloco Glacier

Anyone have any recent experience? Going for a solo attempt over Memorial Day weekend.

BTW...in need of Orizaba beta? PM me, just got done with successful ice climb of the standard route 8)

From what I saw on the standard route, the Ayoloco Glacier route basically didn't exist in 2016:

Seano's assessment is probably spot on. I was there in 2009 and we diverted from the Ayoloco Glacier to Las Rodillas because the glacier was "gone". Rockfall was a major problem where we were to turn up onto the glacier. No pictures though, we were socked in with clouds/fog.
