Planning to climb Big Maria in the Mohave in a week. Any clue as to why the peaksite has been deleted from SummitPost? Its on public lands.

Big Maria did not belong to 1000pks. I think it was "wingding", which is Charles and Kathy Winger. If it's gone, I wonder why... Although they put up just a few pages, they were of good quality with good photography.

If the page is still off of SP for good, I may reconstruct one. My only regret are my photos: I used a cheapy throw-away camera because my digital had busted a few days earlier.

That might have been one of Kathy's peaks. Her smugmug site has lots of good info (maps, etc.):

Kathy Wing is wingding. She announced that she was mainly leaving the site and had deleted most of her material. As she pointed out, most was available in the DPS printed materials and in Andy Zdon's book.

Every page is still "owned" by the contributor. She/he may decide to pull it from SP anytime for any reasons.

I did not attack him Chad. Saying "he got pissy with SP and deleted his pages", is a truthful statement. ... So there's nothing to elaborate on.
