Hi!

Does anyone know the current access situation for Ararat? Probably still permits and a guide are required I guess. Still, any update would be appreciated.

I don't know any specifics, but I met two guys this summer and they told me it wasn't hard at all to get the permits nowadays. They had climbed it in 2006.

These are both commercial sites, so I am sure that this would be in their interests. Maybe someone else near the area or who has climbed it recently would have more up to date news of these requirements.
