Eastern Sierra conditions - Mammoth to Bridgeport

by hgrapid » Tue May 01, 2012 8:54 pm

Hey folks, I see snow levels are pretty low from the Mono Lake webcam: http://www.gbuapcd.org/monolake/index.htm
Can we keep up to date on snow levels?
I am climbing in the Virginia Lakes area - possibly Dunderberg or Black Mountain on Memorial Day weekend.
Seems like snow levels will be sufficiently low by then, due to the rapid melting thus far.

Any insight?

When will Tioga Pass Road (120) be open?

If you learn how to find what you need on this site, it is VERY useful.

The road to the Virginia Lakes trailhead opened about three weeks ago. Probably not a lot of snow on either peak by the end of the month. Hwy 120, maybe Monday ?
