Are the poppies blooming along the Merced River yet? How about at Hite's cove?
I missed last year's spectacular bloom, and hope to make the trip to photograph them.

Any updates? It's rare for me to be near the Sierra foothills this time of year, but I'd love some clues about where to go for some bright colors on the hillsides, and depending on my schedule, I could be anywhere from Moke Hill down to Mariposa this weekend.

That is, if I can resist the temptation to head to Yosemite Valley...
