Dear SP members,
Once again I need some advice
I had a look at climbing in the Tatras but got put off a little regarding the 'red tape'. I'll go back to this idea in a few seasons when I get a bit more experience.
The new plan... Monte Cristallo, the PD graded 'normal' route from the SE direction.
From what I can tell its a case of going up the couloir, a traverse across, and then a climb to the top.
Anyone on here climbed this in winter who could pass on some advice? All the guide books I read obviously show the route in 'summer' condition so just wanted some info on conditions, rack, approaches, anything really relating to a winter climb. I'm happy to listen.
Kind regard,
Adam
