Climbing Antelao / Dolomites in winter

by jonshutt » Fri Feb 08, 2008 3:21 pm

Hi there,
I'm wondering what the dolomites are like at this time of year - especially Antelao - the king of the dolomites. I understand its quite straight forward - but that's summer. I've got plenty of winter experience in Scotland, but not done any 'big' peaks before, so I'm wondering if anyone know what levels of climbing skill / (winter climbing) are required, and how avalanche prone the mountain is.
thanks
