* Trek across the Silk Road (without being killed!)
* Trip from Greenland to Iceland, to the Faroe Islands and ending in Bergen, Norway.
* Svalbard
* The Darien Gap (also without getting killed)
* Trip from Prague to the Carpathanian Mountains (climbing and Dracula stuff) ending in Athens.
* Wandering around the Atlas Mountains with no real objective, open agenda.

All are trips I have put some considerable thought into. The 3rd and 5th trips will prolly eventually happen. :D

Ohh and I forgot. I know this will never happen but I thought it would always be great to do a space walk. I'm sure there's nothing like the feeling of being out there floating around in space with just a leash keeping you from floating out into no where.

I think this needs to be added to my list also. Maybe a trip to Mars? It's in the visible future I feel.

I have yet to do this as well. Though I'd probably do it in the Bay Islands of Honduras. I've swum and dived with seals, penguins, sharks, sting rays and plenty of other critters.

On my list is heading up to Northern Burma and swimming with giant River Pythons near ruined temples.

One of my friends shot this near Utila.

There is always base jumping. I always thought this would go well with climbing. I don't know about that wing suit 10' off the ground crap. Might be a little to intense for my taste.

I'd love to do some deep sea diving where you see a world rarely seen by humans with all the ancient, alien like organisms and unreal environment. I think you need two separate lives: a sucky regular human life which consists of having your ass beaten with work and other demands, and the second life dedicated to a whole lifetime of adventures cus theres so much to do out there...

To put a climbing spin on it:

Make sure you have a really [really, really good belayer! The 'falls' up there can go on forever!

A simple one I forgot: Walk the Hadrian's Wall trail across England (its just south of the England/Scotland border). Nothing technical, just a nice long walk with a lot of pubs :D along the way. This will probably happen in the next few years.

Probably have to write a trip report for it too, as none currently exists on SP.

For me these lists are interesting in that they always remind of all the cool stuff I've done already. Still, the world's a big place:

Hike the JMT
Solo El Cap
Climb a peak in the Himalaya (even an easy one will do).
Redpoint Astroman
I like the Silk Road trip
Visit the Blue Mosque
Safari in Africa
Visit someplace historically and architecturally interesting like Jerash, Ephesus, Lalibela, etc.
Do a remote grade V in the Sierra

We all have mountains and treks that are on our wishlist, but what other adventures will you be sad to not accomplish before you die.

I would like to trek several days through the remote jungles of Sumatra while looking for orangutans/other primates, all while taking with me my wife and two kids, ages 6 and 8.

Oh wait. I'm leaving next Wednesday. See you all next year.

Cages are overrated. (OK, I didn't intentionally dive with one without a cage. He just sort of showed up after we were in the water!)
