Beers for Mountaineers

by deungsan » Tue Apr 17, 2018 8:06 pm

I bought this a few years ago in Japan after climbing Fuji.
Wondering if any other SP'ers have found beer brands that seem to be made for us.

Climbed North Twin Sister in September of 2014. I froze 4 cans of Kulshan Beer and hauled them up the Twin surprising my friends with the suds on the top with the True Koma Kulshan in the background... made for some smiles that afternoon...

Are we talking beers that are good for mountaineering, or beers that have pictures of mountains on them? If I have to carry the weight I want something with a high ABV in a small can, even if it doesn't have the image of a peak on it

And that too. One of the best-tasting ones as well.
