Was gonna hike Gannett the week of July 14th, but nothing set in stone. Granite is also on my list, so if I don't get any partners for Gannett, I'd gladly partner up with you for Granite.

I'm an experienced hiker/backpacker and in great shape. I haven't "climbed" before using crampons/ice axe/ropes, though. But it's not a concern of mine--I pick up stuff like that pretty quickly. The route that you're wanting to take wouldn't give me any trouble.
