I loved my Alaska GTX boots and hit many summits with them. The scree finally started tearing them apart so I decided to splurge on the Omega GTX boots. They looked like a great upgrade and I wanted crampon mounts. Well after only a few summits the rubber brim on these boots completely wore off, exposing the stitching below. Maybe these boots are only meant for snow but that doesn't make sense because rock is exposed year round. Customer service hasn't bothered replying to my messages. I decided to attempt to repair them myself. I started out by putting some Gorilla glue over the seams. Masked it off and then spray painted with Flex Seal Liquid Rubber. Just waiting for it to harden up and then I'll report back on durability.
I have pictures but since I'm a new user I'll have to wait.
