Gilgit, Skardu Flights

by Cheo » Thu Jan 29, 2009 1:43 pm

Hi.

I am looking for information, how to get by air to Gilgit or Skardu from Islamabad, India or Europe.
Where/How can I book a ticket ? Any recommended web-pages?
Are there any flights there from India (Delhi, Mumbai) or Europe ?
What may be the cost?

Regards, and thank You for any replies

The only flights to Gilgit and Skardu are from Islamabad with PIA. You can book online:

http://www.piac.com.pk/

From India you'll need to cross the Wagah border to Lahore and travel on to Islamabad.

Seats to Gilgit always used to book up a long way in advance. Think it's easier to get a seat these days although I would still book as soon as you're set on your dates. The Gilgit flight is often cancelled if there is cloud. The Skardu flight is less of a problem. I've booked online before without problems.
