BC Ski Tours near Santa Fe?

by COTrekker02 » Mon Feb 08, 2010 1:04 am

We will be in Santa Fe next weekend and would like to do a 4-6 hour ski tour in the Sangres outside Santa Fe. Any good ideas? Looking for a good tour with some nice tree lines...

Towards Santa Fe Baldy is a little challenging; but in the Jemez are a lot of gentler runs -- maybe Peralta Canyon.

Thanks much for the beta MoapaPK. The Jemez look like a decent option. I found this link while nosing around...

Doing part of the trail towards SF Baldy looks nice, but maybe a bit flat/long before getting to some decent vert? Do you know if the canyon you mentioned on the Jemez is a relatively short skin?
