Mount Adams Ski Conditions?

by OJ Loenneker » Mon Aug 09, 2010 12:03 am

So... I have not been up to Adams this year and I think I wanna go next weekend,or the one after that. I am thinking the SW chutes for a decent. Anyone been up lately a skied back down?

I guess what I am asking is: is it worth bringing my Splitty up or will that just be a waste of energy for a shitty couple hundred feet of sun cup snow hell. I am going regardless, just testing weather I should bother with the downhill gear.

Thanks.

I can't speak for current conditions, but I was up there 2 weeks ago and conditions for boards were excellent, though I heard it was getting a tad late in the season, ie, suncups. Wished I would've brought my skis, but, the glissading with my son was most excellent, epic, in fact.
I'd imagine more snow has melted in the past two weeks, more suncups, etc.
Maybe check Turns-all-year, for more recent info.
Good luck.
