Hiking around Boise

by forjan » Tue Aug 17, 2010 9:38 am

Hi folks,
I will be in Boise for a job interview this week and I will have like 4 hrs or so to kill. Any recommended hikes in the Boise vicinity? Preferably a hike to a summit with 2000+ feet of gain or more.

Thanks.

Here's my web page for local hikes:

My favorite local hike is Cervidae Peak, about 1900' vertical. There are several routes listed on the SP page:

Hopefully you can get an early start because its still pretty warm here and the local hikes dont offer much shade... Moore's Mountain might be a good choice, but would probably take more than 4hrs total, with driving time included...
