Anyone know the snow condition where the traditional slide down the big snowfield area is before you hit emerald lake? Is there still snow up there? anyone have pics?

I was up there last Sunday the 12 of September and hiked up the timpooneke trail. The upper basin/medow is very brown and dead and in my opinion there is half the snow in the glacier that was there a year ago when we went up in 2009. The water in Emerald lake seems pretty low also. I am new to the site and still learning how to use it. You can copy and paste the link below to see a picture from the meadow towards the glacier.
