I'm going skiing, but It'll be the Coast Range. Haven't decided where yet though.

Chain control on the 36 - too long of an approach on FR30 to North Yolla Bolly.
Might try the A7 from Red Bluff to Colyear Springs Road heading to Mt. Linn.
Or maybe I'll just head up the 101 to 162 through Covelo for Anthony Peak/Mendo. Pass/Black Butte.
Or how 'bout going up through Stonyford to Snow Mountain?

Hull?

Don't think it'll be enough for Hull, but Snow Mt. might have enough - it's 1000' higher.
Farther north will be deeper. Snowing down to 4000' right now around Snow Mt./Covelo etc.

Just called the Soda Creek store at the base of Hull and they reported getting 4 inches at the store (el. 1800') with around 2 feet of snow on top of Elk Mountain. It was partially plowed as of yesterday.

Black Butte Country Store above Covelo -
"...there's snow everwhere. About two feet up by the pass..."

Hmmmmm.... did some BC skiing in San Gorgonio Wilderness yesterday (Monday). What a damn nice treat for SoCal in November! Great coverage from 6500' trailhead. In fact, I took the opportunity to break in some double plastic a wonderful friend gave me, then I skinned up further 'til the clouds swept in. Sweetly skied all the way down to my truck to!

1000pks - no one to BC with? Come on down!

From 10' of new snow up here to rock skiing? No thanx!

It's so sad how the local enviro clubs have zero ski activities to 2011, a bad turn from how we had it back when I had anything to do with it. The greatest sport on earth, reduced to nothing. Well, at least we all know about SP as well!

Wow! That's kind of an assholie thing to say. Invite rescinded...............go BC by yourself!

Pete, that is the second person that I know of that have invited you to a ski after you said no one has! I almost think you would rather complain than do...

Care to meet me at Donner Summit this weekend for some turns down to snow-shed wall ?

Pete, STFU and get out and enjoy the damn fine snow, take some pics, post them up and then you can bitch that you had to go out solo for some great pow tree skiing at Waterhouse Peak cause you couldn't find a beacon buddy. Otherwise, at least leave your keyboard alone for awhile, i am sure there has to be something better to do with your hands...

Really tired of sitting here (recovering from back surgery) not able to go and take advantage of the fine November conditions, while you (who AFAIK has no physical limitation) bitch and moan about not having a BC partner. Get your ass outside or go get some cheese for your whine.

As I state, it is not my policy to trip with strangers

Trip with strangers = Not Ok.
Spending hours whining to strangers on the Internet = Ok.

Hmm, I guess I was not looking for an "online" experience. I don't get you. You complain about not being taken up on your many offers and yet when you get one you spew something like:

I guess I will do my turns without you and you can enjoy the "online" experience. But please, stop complaining that no one ever invites you anywhere or take you up on your offers.

Maybe I'm weird or old fashioned but when I did this I did real things with real people. Online at SP is fiction, afaic. Why it is so hard to video chat or meet for a free treat, that is beyond me! Esp. when it means endless bc fun, mostly at my expense if it goes as with the local enviro club!

A free treat, eh?

I wouldn't say that! I'd use a different conjunction!

Pete, we can't figure out what the heck you want. More than anything, your posts have given me faith in SP. Many people have sincerely tried to help you, against all odds.
