I notice the NWS long range forecasts for the coming holiday weekend are talking about a trough setting up across the north and central parts of the state with snow showers through Saturday. In the old days there were several years where such a forecast was a sure kiss of death haha. Each time instead of pushing east, a trough would surprise forecaster and just sit on top of the Sierra for two or three days making myriad car campers and backpackers bail back to lowland motels from constant snow showers above 6k with chilly unpleasant temps. So is the jinxter back again this year?
