I started posting this the day before yesterday, lucky I´m using quick reply.
Is it traffic or what?

It's getting a bit worse these days.

I've notified Matt and heard back from him. He also asks if there are any times of day that seem to be worse than others. The site seems to be faster today than yesterday but still with some slow periods.

Yes it is better today than yesterday, but I mostly credit that to yesterday being maddeningly slow.

I have not noticed a real difference in time of day, or an association with how many users are online. First half of this week, during late morning, early afternoon, late at night... it was all the same.

I'll have to watch for the different speeds based on the time of day.

Yikes! Took me almost two hours to post 24 images using cable and I didn't dare spend any time viewing anyone else's stuff tonight!

Really, really slow. Unusuably slow for looking at images.

Even the forum is really slow. Gave up trying to post to this topic yesterday as it took too long to load (ironically).

Right now, it's fine for me, but early this morning, it was very slow, and I experienced what mrchad9 did-- taking almost two minutes to load my profile page.

I'll let Matt know it was especially slow last night and early this morning and that the problems continue off and on.

And for what it's worth I actually found the speed much improved last night and this morning for opening images with only occasional lapses into" comatosity".

And thanks Larry for persevering!

I think some pages on google are loosing rank from this. I hear that server speed plays a role in ranking with search engines.

Hey Bob and/or Matt, it just (now) took me 5 minutes to log onto the Site.

Then again, some say I've got too much time on my hands ..

I am facing the same problem. The site is currently slower than any site I have visited in the past 2-3 years.

Is the cause of the issue known?

Is anything being done about it?
