a couple of my friends and I from the nyc area are headed to mt hood around memorial day. we were considering doing the entire timberline trail over 3 days, but i can't find any trip reports of people doing the whole trail this time of year. I understand that there will still be a lot of snow and ice, and route finding will be difficult at times. We have all backpacked in the winter, have mountaineering experience, and can bring GPS. But I was looking for more detail on the conditions and how difficult it is in late may, and if anyone does it this time of year. thanks!

I'm pretty sure skis would be in order for that/this time of year. . . Only a few weeks away, end of May,
and there's still plenty of snow covering the trail.
