my next alpine pack will be either a cilogear or the osprey variant 52. right now my old wilderness experience pack, made a long ass time ago in Chatsworth California meets all of my needs, it's light, holds alot, and most importantly, was free!!!

Osprey Mutant 38

Anyone have one or know who sells them. Ospery says on their website that they are avaliable in the U.S., but do not list any retailers. Also, does anyone have any experience with the Variant series? I have some Osprey hiking packs that I love, but they are not great climbing packs.
