btw, at the Virgin TH, right where the road is washed out, I found a pile of bills buried under a rock and dirt nearby:

If you run into Orson Dimick while you're out there, let him know I have his auto and medical insurance bills in case he comes looking for them. They appear to be way past due...

BB: I'll look for Orson Dimick, but that's such a common name.

1000pks: There are some summits in VofF; CP knows much more about that. Bob Sihler has some pics for VofF peaks on SP; perhaps even a TR. It's a pretty area, even for just wandering amid the sandstone.

Tipton is the obvious highpoint of the Cerbats: I suspect you have done that. The road is a lot rougher than implied in the old DPS guide. The North Cerbats will have the same access issues.

The one last "move" on Hualapi is officially harder than class 3, but it's very short with almost no exposure. Taller people probably have little trouble. I'm 5'6" and I just mantled up. Some people just reach over the edge and touch the benchmark. That peak will certainly have a little snow right now. You can cut cross country or if you are willing to lose some elevation and do switchbacks, take a road almost to the top.. Aspen Peak (in the middle of the Potato Patch loop) is actually prettier; the trail is up the W side to start, and turns to a use trail near the top.

One of my favorites out by Lake Mead is this:

If you just go up the eastern part, and come back down the same way, it's fairly mild, mainly class 2, 9 miles RT and about 2500' accumulated gain. There's even a way to do the final steep ramp by an almost-class 2 route.

The road to Hidden Valley from the N (by Buffington Pockets) is now 4wd HC. Supposedly, one can take a more fragile vehicle to Colorock Quarry on the W side, and hike part of the way into Hidden Valley.

Consider Anniversary Narrows and Bowl of Fire (NOT VofF) -- very scenic, mainly just walks, off the Northshore Road. I can give you starting mileages from the T where Lake Mead Drive (past toll booth) Ts with Northshore Drive.

Even the parking place for Redstone Peaks will give you a chance for caried scenery.
