Incredible...

shot! About how many miles is it from base to base?(How far across is the flats)

In case, Grandwazoo doesn't answer, its about 1.7 miles across the basin. It's a beautiful basin, but unfortunately in summer, it's often filled with domestic sheep that chew up the meadows.



Standard route up the peak is via the right hand skyline which is the Northwest Ridge.

The Uintas rock. Period. I too feel Utah is too far away - living in Minnesota is tough.

Alpine Vista

I love the open alpine tundra zones of the High Uinta backcountry and you have captured it beautifully. Now if we can just get rid of them stinkin' mountain maggots!

summit of Kings Peak? It
is due west of Kings, right?
Awesome photo! Whoever took
it really knew how to handle
a camera. Hopefully, they
were keeping a safe distance
from all the sheep smells!
