Overview
A few photos from my solo trip (3rd one) into Vestal basin with the goal to summit and traverse all 3 Trinity Peaks. I spent the night high up in Vestal Basin - got there late, so found a dry spot under a tree and set up my "bed arrangement". Woke up late ~ 6:40 am, scrambled up to Vestal Lake and took a few morning photos from there. Ascended into Vestal - West Trinity saddle and continued eastwards over all 3 summits. The route finding relatively easy, ran into a few climbers on the traverse. The route finding was not difficult, but ran into more 4th class terrain then described. I believe by scrambling around you can find easier ways to traverse, but I got lazy and many times headed just straight up. The descend from the East Trinity was slow and loose. The lake below Trinities was spectacular and asking for a swim. The hike back, including the ascent up Molas TH from Animas River was spectacular with spending time by Beaver Ponds observing moose.West Trinity 13,765 feet
