Trailhead Elevation: 1000 ft (South Shore parking area)
Summit Elevation: 1450 ft (Top of East Bluff)
Distance: less than 0.5 miles
From the South Shore parking area head north and cross the railroad tracks to reach a flat forested area at the base of the East Bluff. Shortly after crossing the railroad tracks, the trail branches. Take the left-most branch to reach a boulder field.
You will find the trail as a long series of steps that meanders through the boulder field and leads you to the base of the Balanced Rock Wall. You are likely to find rock climbers on this wall. The trail bypasses the wall and continues as a series of steps through a forest of Pines and Birch trees to the top of the bluff.
If you have information about this route that doesn't pertain to any of the other sections, please add it here.
