Nice day for a short walk
I have often looked at this mountain from my many summits of Nebo. I finally got it done.

nice loop hike!
with Jen & Akiko (Wasatch Mt Club hike). We hiked nearby 10421 first then traversed from dividing saddle to south ridge & up to top; descent followed county line southeast part of the way to Mona Pole road, veering off to top hill 9664. Fine weather and views, with huge plume of smoke from the wildfire near the mouth of Provo Canyon.

From Mona Pole Road. Continued onto Bald Mine Peak after.
There are some fairly steep moments, but its so worth it!

Something about a Ridge
The road to the parking spot by the camping spot was very well maintained, even so that a two wheel drive car could do it, but sounds like this isn't always the case. I have to admit that today there was something about this ridge I just didn't like. It was a rough one! Sometimes you just don't feel it, and that was Bald Mountain today. The views were gorgeous however, and most of all I did it!

I hiked this one with Dean Molen and my brother, Eric. The views from the top were great.

Nice hike
Hiked up with Eric and Tracy Foutz. Beautiful day with great companions and the views were as advertised. The only problem was the fact that we did this on opening day of bow hunting season and people were everywhere and the roads were a mess.
Oh well, we still got the peak.

Bald Mountain
Started at the trail by the open camping spot, followed the faint trail along the jeep trail to the fence line. Then went up along the fence line, then up to the summit. Nice views!

Off road in the Maxima!
Took the Maxima for a ride on the Mona Pole RD and hit the mountain while listening to Game of Thrones. Probably the best day ever.

Bald and 10421
First peak of the day. I was able to drive my Subaru Legacy 1.9 miles along the Mona Pole road with no problem. It was very muddy just after that and I didn't want to chance getting stuck so I walked the rest. After doing this one I traversed over to the saddle with 10421 and then climbed that one too. Afterwards I did a short side trip to Twin Knolls on my way to the Loafer TH. 80% chance of rain and snow, but no precip on the first 2 hikes for the day. Yippee!
