6/9/2013 After a successful completion of Wildcat Ridge (Mt. Olympus to Mt. Raymond) I still had enough energy to run up the short distance to Circle All Peak on the way down Butler Fork.

Stopped for a breather and to enjoy the view on the way up Raymond. Loved the view but I'm biased - love Cottonwood Ridge.

On the same day as Raymond, you will pass this anyway on one common route, so grab it too. A nice view and if you are pooped, stop here.

I guess it's only been once as of this post, but as it's a popular ski tour and easy to wind up on top of without necessarily intending to (which is how I got there the once - ski partner didn't like the weather on Gobbler's which was the plan), I'm sure I'll be there again. Yes, good views from there.

On the way back from Gobblers under an ominous set of gray thunderclouds that did nothing but rumble.

Climbed to the top probably 20-30 times in winter to ski tour the trees on the north and northeast side. Great option for a quick tour or when avy danger is high. Fantastic views for a low peak.

Once in the winter, once in the summer. Great viewpoint, but not really a mountain.

I've climbed this peak many times dating back to when I was a child. I've climbed it with parents, grandparents, with the scouts and with various other family members. The last time I climbed it may have been November 11, 1995(?).

I've been here twice that I remember. The last time involved finding one of MOCKBA's geocaches.

Joe and I tagged this on our way back from climbing Gobblers Knob and Mt Raymond. The summit has nice views of Big Cottonwood Canyon and in the winter you can then shortcut down to the TH.

Hit this peak while on my way to not successful attempt to Mount Raymond. Weather and wind kept me from summitting.

Morning hike before work with Matt Van Horn. We were supposed to climb in LCC, but about halfway up the canyon we could see lightning strikes, so we decided to try BCC because it looked a lot clearer over there. We had to settle for something small in case we needed to bail because of the weather. Matt wanted to try a new route, so we started on the Butler Fk trail and after a few minutes took a trail on the left side that heads straight up the south face. The trail is steep and after about a half mile peters out and it is all bush from there. We decide it is a great route if you are in search of cannabis, make-out lairs, aspen sap or thick bush, but not the best for hiking. Made the summit and had a quick decent on the standard route back to Butler and made it to work on time.

Some serious bushwacking through a ton of wildflowers and growth. Growing over my wife's head at some points. Good quick hike though!

Bignick

This is a pleasent hike any time of year. I've done it in the Summer after work, in the rain, during a heavy snow storm, and a few other times. A nice short hike to a destination.
