Elena Gallegos Picnic Area and Park leads into the Sandia Wilderness. It accesses Domingo Baca Canyon and the Pino Trail . Great Autumn through late spring hiking (gets brutally hot in summer, but refreshing in the upper elevations...watch the winter weather)
