Page Type Page Type: Album
Additional Information Image Type(s): Rock Climbing

Overview

The Thumb is the prominent twin summited rock south of the La Luz Trail. There are several routes leading to its top, the photos were taken while climbing Northwest Ridge. It is a long ridge, mostly alpine style climbing. The climbing can be mediocre at some sections, the ridge is exposed, and the views are amazing. The ridge gets much easier higher up. The descent is via Southeast Ridge - walk off.
