| Actually not my birthday, but my son's. I remembered we used to come up here with small snowboards and sleds and play all day long during the winter months. Not now, the snow is gone but the memories are kept alive. Can't wait to hike these nice trails with my kids again. Great views from the summit. I hiked up with Daniela. Very windy at the top. We found thousands of ladybugs roaming near the summit. | |

| This was a cool little summit and I was quite surprised by how deep the snow was. A fresh few inches of snow made this a nice outing. Unfortunately, there were some shady characters roaming the area - I had a dog and my piece with in my pocket, but I hate feeling creeped out when I'm just trying to enjoy the mountains! | |

| The pup and I cruised up this through the snow, from the lower parking lot. Added this on after spending the day grabbing Centennial Cone, Point 7814, Floyd Benchmark, and Point 8100. | |

| scooted up geneee mountian as a side trip on the way out to chief and warrior. snow on the baseball fields was knee-deep in portions, a total surprise for a warm, sunny area at 8000 feet with no real accumulation recently! jamie | |

| There are some great views of the divide from here. It's an nice place to take out of town guests for a lazy afternoon. | |

| I started from the small picnic area on the east side and followed a trail to the road. I then took the road to the top. It was pretty windy, and there was some snow on the ground from the last few days, but there were no post-holing problems. On the return, I followed the road all the way down to the car. | |
