| We had great firm snow in the morning, and the snow softened up enough to allow plunge-stepping down a few hours later. Very short trip -- even with the snow, it was 1h 20m to top, 30 m down. An 8-year-old kid made the trip in sneakers. | |

| Climbed with brother Andrew -- tried out bottled oxygen using tank borrowed from the Mammoth hospital. The 10 pound tank negated any positive effect of the oxygen. | |

| Easy hike with super views- enjoyed the panorama. Wanted to stay all day. One of our group somehow lost the use trail- it isn't hard to follow- and ended up going down the NE drainage. We were pretty nervous for a couple hours but found him enjoying an extended hike back up the road to the trailhead. Made for an interesting time at least... | |
