Voted 10/10 | Ernest Hemingway ...?
"A serious writer is not to be confounded with a solemn writer. A serious writer may be a hawk or a buzzard or even a popinjay, but a solemn writer is always a bloody owl."

Hasn't voted | Sorry, Larry. This is a bit, or too much, over my head. I've read only two of Hemingway's novels and I don't remember any refernce to a "bloody owl." But, I appreciate you dropping by, always entertaining.

Voted 10/10 | Agreed ...
I think it was "Mariel Hemingway" who said
that. Believe it was in the movie "Lipstick."
