Jumping Mount Cook

Jumping Mount Cook
Right in front of the Mueller hut on Mt. Ollivier, there's a big rock that's perfect for the ultimate holiday snap, with Aoraki / Cook serving as background decoration. Do a handstand, jump in the air, or do the Jesus.. Whatever your imagination comes up with. Have somebody at the Mueller hut capture the moment on film: *the* shot that proves that you've been in New Zealand.

I'm flying on the right with the cap. By the way: lots of people ask me if this is an artificial photo; it's not. I didn't mess with it and photoshopped people in there, it's 100% real! (you can actually see my shadow on the rock) Go there and try it for yourself!

Thanks Josh, I'll add it to the album ..
It's not just the summit of the mountain, it was also topping of a 3-week road trip!

Cheers, Rick

Hah yeah that seemed a bit redundant. There were many more such albums already and better populated with pics anyway. Rest assured, the fun in the mountains is still there, just not the album! :-)

Cheers and have a nice day,

Rick

thank you for the photos which inspired us, we are a group of friends in our 50s who now have images of us doing the same stunt, not as good as you but some young men in another party followed on and looked great, no fear and more skill, amazing place
