Re: Great photo...

Thanks, to be honest I was hoping that it would get photo of the hour title, but I guess there is something about the timing when to post etc.
Anyway, knife edge is absolutely fantastic!!!! I have about 10 more similar photos. It is dropping thousand feet on each side - and photo from the plane would capture that! However, the approach to this point is long and arduous.

Re: Great photo...

Not to worry, you may still get photo of the day with this one.

Re: Great photo...

hey marc, I am currently buzzed, so do not really care. hahaha. I opened a bottle of rose, and am hoping to finish it, but I think it is easier to climb a Capitol Peak...

Re: Great photo...

The drop is about 1,000 feet. 1,800 feet at the top of the mountain down the north face. Not that it matters. That's plenty for sure!

Liba,

This is one of the best photos I've seen at Summit Post in sometime. Thanks for posting it and congratulations for your first POTD.
Looking forward to many more of your beautiful photos in the future.
Happy climbing,
Marc

Wow!

I would've puked! I have a phobia of heights and just looking at this almost makes me nauseated. It's a great view with a nice perspective though.

Cheers,
Kris

Re: Wow!

I think that I've seen this photo so many times that it just appears to me so easy... Really, just no mistakes, and you are fine...

Great image

Classic ridge, classic image! Good work. Most people are too nervous to take a photo there :)

Re: Great image

You would expect people to be nervous but look how relaxed Liba looks in this picture her partner took. Rocking the Knifes Edge

Re: Great image

Thanks, I actually love exposure and especially the adrenaline rush I get... it is like a drug...
I met Jason on the ascent towards K2. I usually hike solo, or with my dog (but did not want to take her on this one).
