In some situations "you would not like to be there..."
The lesson...yes...just after the climb it was like that:
"No more Matterhorn in winter- ever!"
After two months:
"So...when are we going to attempt it again?"
I'm happy you like it. I regret not making more photos during the climb but conditions were severe and we were short on time. It was the last time I had camera in my backpack... I lost many good pictures because of that.
Thanks very much, Mockba!
We are very happy to hear such nice comments. It's our first TR so it took us a lot of time to write and we weren't sure if that's the right way of writting the TR.
Fantastic story!
Half of me wishes I could have been there to experience it, and half of me is SOOOOOOO glad I wasn't. ;-).
Adventures are definitely way more fun AFTER you've lived through them.
Kudos to your survival skills!

"Sad but true"Metallica has a song with that name. It must have been an intensive experience.. spending that much time in "Solvay prison"! :)

Re:Spending that time in Solvay wasn't intensive...dominating feeling was boredom.
I wish I had Metallica's "Black album" up there...
Thanks Tomas.

When adrenaline start to work I don't know why but my gums start to burn and always feel the metallic taste of blood in my mouth...
...it tastes BITTERSWEET.
