It's funny how your pages to some of these peaks are written primarily with the dayhiker in mind - and you are likely the last one to do so from your enticing description here. :-)
It may not be a classic peak--but given its reputation for being one of the most remote spots in the Sierra, it is a classic dayhike! Especially when done with Finger Peak, which is a great peak... and which I'd really have enjoyed if I weren't in such a darned hurry by that point. I fully expect you, Rick, or Jeff to head out here sometime and report back on a third or fourth approach that's better (or at least different) than the two routes I tried.
btw, the Finger Peak page I'll add later today also won't look like Recess Peak... and neither will the Graveyard Peak page that you've now forced me to add given your inconsiderate submission of Cockscomb. :-)
It's quite clear to me that I'm likely on the losing end of this arms race. My only hope is that you'll be too lazy to continuing lobbing your little gems after round 3 or 4. :-)
