Product Description

A nice alpine pack for a day of backcountry cragging or skiing. This pack replaces the old Catalyst design and improves upon many of the problems with that older pack design.

Features

•Along with the HDPE (high-density polyethylene) framesheet, two aluminum stays provide support; all can be removed to reduce pack weight.
•Fixed suspension system offers low weight and low complexity.
•Floating top lid pocket lets pack hold more gear, and detaches so you can stash some essentials to bring into tent or lower pack weight on ascent.
•Two loading options: top-loading and side zippered access give multiple points of access to contents.
•Curved, padded shoulder straps with sternum strap and load-lifter straps, and the precurved padded hipbelt distribute pack weight evenly.
•Twin ice axe holsters feature spike sleeves that are designed to allow you to release tools without removing pack.
•Dual daisy chains and lash points give you the option to strap on bulky gear like snowshoes and crampons.
•Front of pack features a shelf pocket for sliding in a snow shovel.
•Dedicated ski slots combined with side compression straps let you strap on skis in A-frame style.
•Hydration-compatible design features reservoir pocket and two drink tube exit ports for on-the-go hydration.
•Stretchy mesh ''cockpit'' pocket on waistbelt is a handy place for frequently accessed items such as lip balm or snacks; other side has a tool loop.
•Constructed of 630-denier nylon oxford, offering high abrasion resistance with low weight; polyurethane coating for weather resistance.

Great Pack!
I’ve had this pack for more than a year now and I love it. I can carry my axe, snowshoes, trekking poles, and snow shovel all at once, including enough stuff for an overnight in the snow! The dual daisy chains as well as the side straps allow you to attach anything you want; plus it has dedicated shovel and ice tool holders. The weight carries well and the pack resists rain and snow pretty well. The side zipper allows you to reach your water or map or whatever without opening the whole top. I love it!
