Getting There
FROM ALICANTE
Take the A-7 highway to exit 67, N-340 and CV-773 to Busot and follow the Canalobre's caves indications until a right curve with a litlle parking to the left (Lat 38.5161 / Long -0.4141). If you follow the road, you will find the Canalobre's caves in about 400m.
Explanation
The PR marks
A PR-(x) path is a short distance path, in spanish "sendero de pequeño recorrido". The next letter/letters (x) refer the area wich runs, so "V" means Comunidad Valenciana.
This routes should be 50Km long or less. To follow this paths, just look at the yellow and white marks.
Route Description
PR-V-2 Modified: This route is repeated hundred of times every year by mountaineers of many countries who want to reach the Cabeçó d'Or summit.
The PRV-2 is a circular route, but I preffer to change it ascending and descending by the same track. The other part is extremely sunny and bored.
2h30 / 3h are enough to walk about 10Km with a slope of 750m.
Start walking in the parking commented before along a forest track (always follow the main track), almost no slope, until we find the Dinosaur Crest (photo). In this track, we can see the spectacular climbing walls like the Pared de los Alcoyanos (photo). Once arrived to the Dinosaur Crest, turn right toward a house (Racó de Seva) and before you arrive, take the little path to the right marked in yellow and white. From this point, we zigzagging up the mountaiside to a little plain with a house
known as Casa del Polzet (ruins). Turn to the left in direction to the summit (follow the PR marks) along a narrow path that includes a little easy climb (take care with children and dogs). After this passage, take the left slope to the summit. To descend, take the same route.
