Primadonna assoluta of Saxonian Switzerland!

Primadonna assoluta of Saxonian Switzerland!

This cat came right up to us the moment it spotted us as we were on our way down from the Lilienstein, and miaowed almost the whole of La Traviata for us! ;-) Apparently this cat was trying to tell us something, and we couldn't understand what. See also the video I made:

Re: Traviata?

Thanks Roberto; I don't think that cat was hungry or thirsty though. Because we tried giving it some water at first, which it refused. Then there were two children who came down from one of the houses nearby with some cat food - it didn't want that either. It just kept on miaowing and miaowing, possibly saying: For heaven's sake, would you please finally understand what I'm trying to tell you? ;-) I think it was just bored...
Cheers,
Eric

Re: Traviata?

Maybe there was a very mean dog hiding in the
bush, and the cat was sounding an alarm to
rescue it from impeding and possible danger.

Re: Traviata?

No no - there were no dogs around there! That cat leads a very peaceful life in the idyllic spot we came past! :-)

I think he is...

yawning in this picture. May be he's saying, "I don't need water or food. All I want is a good joke. Don't bore me to death people!."
Great catch, Eric,
Ciao,
Marc

Re: I think he is...

We even tried the good joke method, Marc! I made a video with my camera of the cat miaowing, and then I played it for him! And sure enough, he started answering to himself! Which didn't stop the miaowing machine from running still after...

Pay the toll!

Our 17 year old Maine Coon cat howls like that for any number of reasons (food, love, attention) but I think this one is requesting some kind of toll for passage.

Re: Pay the toll!

Yes, that's what it could seem like on this picture! But actually, I think the cat was simply bored and wanted to be the center of attention for a while! ;-)

Re: Pay the toll!

Spring is my favorite time of the year, for
obvious reasons.

Re: Pay the toll!

Spring was just fantastic here in Germany this whole last week (except for the rather unusually severe hay fever I and many other people have been suffering of); Easter vacation was more something of an early summer holiday!

Re: ahahahahah!

Thanks Paulo! Yes, that really was a crazy cat indeed - it just miaowed and miaowed and miaowed for no apparent reason at all, but always with this tone of "For God's sake, can't you guys finally understand what I'm trying to tell you?"
Cheers,
Eric

Epic Cat Photo!

I must say Eric this is certainly one of my favorite photos of yours! But then again I love cats a lot, and you did manage to make the cat look like its hissing or yelling. :-D

Re: Epic Cat Photo!

Thanks a lot Josh! I managed to push the release button just at the right moment within a very demanding-sounding "miaow"! ;-)
Cheers,
Eric
