I remember seeingthis on my approach to Whitney in 1989. At
that time, it was a very "pretty" face painted
on, and I almost wanted to kiss it.
Looking back almost 20 yrs. later, I'm glad I
didn't!!! Awesome photograph, Marc!

Re: I remember seeingYes, I remember many scary faces in the past, and a few pretty ones. Why didn't you kiss the pretty one? Were you married at the time? Just kidding of course.
Thanks a million for voting on this Larry.

Re: I remember seeingNope, but I was by myself at the time, and
I worried that if somebody happened to be
driving by while I was kissing a rock, I might
get locked up somewhere.

Re: I remember seeingYour head must be full of songs, poetry and books Larry. I can't remember a single line from a single song, but I recognize
the songs after you say the line.

Re: I remember seeingYes, I recognize Larry's handiwork. First he paints the rocks in Arizona reddish and now he is defacing California. Larry, c'mon man. ; )

Re: I remember seeingNo, this had to be somebody familiar with the
Alabama Hills. I was there ONE time in 1989,
and I don't remember a thing 'cept for the
cold wind coming in from the north.
I was too much of a "wus" to stand still in one place longer than 2 minutes!!!
Perhaps some "other" Sp-members who have
been here 50+ times can better tell you why
this type of activity is happening.
