Started the climb just after watching the sunrise over half dome from a pull out. Easy hike. Didn't see a soul the entire time i was on the trail or on the summit, i guess mostly because much of the trail was still covered in snow, and it was very early in the morning.

Lengthen it by going to the fissures on the backside. Not as many people do the loop. You won't have solitude, but it is quieter.

Nice little hike. Had to trick my mom into doing it. Just wanted to stretch my legs before Half Dome. Great view from the top.

The sunset from Sentinel Dome can't be beat - you get the alpenglow on Half Dome and the rest of the Sierra Peaks, yet can also watch the sun go down at the same time - a beautiful 360 degree view. Has to the best view for the least work in Yosemite (not counting Glacier Point).

A very short hike around this and the Fissures/Taft Point. Remarkable views for very little effort... I'll have to head up here in winter some time. Half Dome and Clouds Rest were enshrouded in clouds.

Wonderful views from the top of Sentinel Dome of the valley and Half-Dome. Vernal Falls and Nevada Falls were still flowing strong.

I had never been up Glacier Point Road before, but took the day off work to have time for it before my cousins wedding in Yosemite Valley on Saturday. Views from the top were much more impressive than from the top of Yosemite Falls on the other side of the valley. Afterward, my wife dropped me off at Glacier Point to do the Panorama Trail (8 miles down to Nevada Falls, Vernal Falls, and Happy Isles) and meet her at Curry Village for pizza with the family in the evening.

We could probably touch the deer if we really wanted to. Nice hike, great views of the park....you could see the hundreds of tour buses in the Village parking lot. ;-)
