Sharing a beautiful sunset with the summit of Box Elder Peak
Sharing a sunset with the summit of Box Elder Peak and Mount Timpanogos. On the summit it was cold, windy, beautiful and for some reason I felt right at home up there. It was one of those sunsets that could take your breath away. November 7th,2009

from me too, TyeDyeTwins! I remember so well how you told me: Just wait till I post this one! - and sure enough - it became a tremendous success with everybody and even photo of the week! That's super - it looks like you had exactly the right foresight there!

Thanks MauriceRavel for all the kind words. I had to sell my soul to the devil to get this one this far. It was worth the effort. Too bad it was so much more beautiful in person. Happy Trails Maurice.

They're man-made terraces built to stop soil erosion.

Where have you been, out climbing a mountain?

Thanks Larry for answering that one. Oh and yes I was climbing and skiing Mount Baldy today. Its gonna take more than POTW to stop me from getting my mountains, especially when they are covered in all white. Thanks for stopping by and happy trails out there Larry.

On top of Mount Baldy,
All covered in white.
I got lost in a blizzard,
And had to spend the night.
I ate my last power bar,
After building a snow cave...
Then a jolly elf in a red suit came,
And my butt he did save!

Are you sure it was an elf in a red suit? Maybe it was a billy goat.......and maybe, just maybe, it was the billy goat that got MOCKBA this summer. You never know.

Yeah! Purely speculation, but that must have
been one "riled up" billy goat to unfortunately
kick MOCKBA into the NEXT century!

Who knows? The man's gotta be out there somewhere! Stranger things have happened!

This profile shot of mine is proof I was there on Baldy. Skiing will always take priority over SP

Thanks Jack B for the comment and the vote. I am glad I could share such a beautiful moment with everyone on Sp. Hard to believe that people miss such beautiful moments because of their fear of the dark. May your sunsets be as beautiful as mine
