The hamlet of Bürstegg above Lech am Arlberg | [ Sizes: Orig | Large | Med | Small | Thumb ] |
Approaching the beautifully situated hamlet named Bürstegg on 1718 metres, which was inhabited for at least three centuries all year around - there was a church and even a school - by the Walser. Comments[ Post a Comment ] | EastcoastMike | Great shot | |

Voted 10/10 | I love how the green is so vivid but disappears into the snow! I would like to see this in person someday! | | Posted Mar 9, 2010 12:46 pm |

Hasn't voted | I can guarantee you that you'll love it - that spot really is of great beauty! The hamlet itself is also interesting to visit; the two or three houses that are still left, plus the little church, are all in original condition, dating back to the 17th and 18th centuries, and tell a lot about how the people lived up there in the past centuries.
Many cheers,
