Yep, that's me. The photo was taken by Jeana Stuart at the Spiral Jetty, a piece of environmental art by Robert Smithson. It was constructed in 1970 and is only visible when the water level in the Great Salt Lake is low. Hasn't voted | Thanks for the compliment! You know, it wasn't much different in person - it was hard to distinguish between the sky and the water and the water moved in kind of a strange, oily way. All of the rocks along the shoreline had caps of salt crystals on them about 5 inches thick and the "sand" was actually salt. Very surreal. | | Posted Oct 24, 2008 5:50 pm |

1980s, the Great Salt Lake was at its highest
levels, so I never did notice this fine piece
