Two climbers on the south face of Berchtesgadener Hochthron

Two climbers on the south face of Berchtesgadener Hochthron

Photo taken on November 14th, 2010. It wasn't until I heard a very loudly pronounced four-letter word coming from the wall that I noticed them. How handy that can come in sometimes...;-))

Re: looks like...

My grandparents spoke this mix of Czech and German. It was common in that time (born late 1890s), and they lived on the border with Austria.

I think...

every language has some special words for very special occasions... Polish one is very well known wherever I roam, you don't even have to start with it, local people noticing you're Polish will immediately surprise you with that:))) It's so fucking nice...hehe

Great climbing shot.

A question I'd like to ask all of you...

...just out of interest, as I don't happen to be a climber myself: How would you rate this particular pitch, as to difficulty?

Re: A question I'd like to ask all of you...

As far as I am concerned and as I am not a professional climber I would bet ...it seems to be rather vertical so fairly f....ing difficult!

Have a nice evening

Re: A question I'd like to ask all of you...

What would be the grade of this? VI? VII? Higher than that? I'm using the UIAA standards here, but I don't mind American numbers, either...there is a comparison table on the Internet.

Re: A question I'd like to ask all of you...

i wouldn't want to say what in italian would be called a "fesseria", but i would dare say it must be quite higher than a UIAA grade VI, but as i am not able to climb much higher than that i can't say more.
