Vlkolínec (SK) is the best preserved and most comprehensive unit of its kind in the Carpathian region. It includes 43 unaltered houses and ancillary buildings reflecting a multitude of archaic building elements. Since 1993 it has been a part of UNESCO World Cultural Heritage.
