It was an amazing place but I did most of the interesting peaks that could be done solo. Need to go back there with a group to do some of the heavily glaciated and crevassed peaks. Maybe in a few years.

The gate to hell! I've been reading a lot of Halldor Laxness books and have been facinated by his descriptions of the landscape. I'm afraid, the icelandish weather is not up to our southern standards, though. Won't be able to drag my girlfriend with me :-(
The gate to Hell is a nice (but stinky) mountain. Something I always wondered about! Nice representation for Iceland, Brian. I bet it can get cold there, though. Great job on the page and good info.
