Mont de l'Etoile (3370m), trying to look just as high as Weisshorn (4506m) and Zinalrothorn (4221m)

If you only glance at this panorama, your first impression might be that the mountain on the left, Mont de l'Etoile, is only slighly lower than the other ones. But take a closer look and you'll see that the high peaks in the center and on the right are much more distant, and that changes everything. I'm on the upper Glacier de Vouasson, already at around 3300 m myself, and Mont de l'Etoile (3370m) is just 1.6 km away. In contrast, Weisshorn (4506m) and Zinalrothorn (4221m) are 20 km further east and are in a completely different league. 10 March 2014.
